About Courtney Lennard
I became interested in studying psychology and human behavior towards the end of high school. One of the main reasons I chose to attend Clark University was because of its well-known psychology program – it’s the birthplace of the American Psychological Association and hosted Sigmund Freud on his only visit to the United States.
I received my graduate degree in Social Work from the University of Michigan. During this program, I interned at the University’s counseling center and worked with undergraduate students experiencing a range of emotional challenges. Nearly three decades later, I continue to love working with students of all ages.
During my twenty years of clinical practice, I have worked with a wide range of clients across all age groups. Today, my practice primarily focuses on kids and young adults (tweens, teens, college students) and adults, parents, and families. I treat a wide range of issues: Anxiety and depression are the most common, but there are many other issues my clients’ experience, including grief, loss, trauma, body image, life transitions, relationship challenges, and self-harm.
